Huntersville Local Area and Map

We hold both Rally and Local Races.  During the Rally Races we have drivers who come form as far away as Florida to the South and Ohio to the North West and Kentucky from the West.

During Rally races, the racers come in from all parts of the United States to compete for points. Those who accumulate enough points will have a chance to race in the National Soap Box Derby Championship held in Akron Ohio.

During our Local race, kids from our local area, (you don’t have to live in Huntersville to compete), race to see who will win.  The winners of the Local race will go to Akron to compete in the National Soap Box Derby Championship representing the Huntersville Chapter.

The Huntersville Soap Box Derby Chapter area covers the following counties:

In NC = Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, Cleveland, Lincolon, Catawba, Cabarrus, Anson, Stanly, Rowan, and Iredell.

In SC = York, Lancaster, Chester, and Cherokee

This means you don’t have to live just in Huntersville to join our local Chapter.   So get that car ready and come out and have some fun!.
